Hi, I’m Jessica Izsak

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, I offer a warm, grounded space where you can begin to make sense of what feels heavy, stuck, or overwhelming. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy, and you do not have to carry it alone.

My work is rooted in EMDR and IFS-informed parts work, with additional support from ACT, DBT, and other trauma-informed approaches. I tailor therapy to each person’s needs, pace, and goals, with care that is thoughtful, collaborative, and steady.

At Whole Self Mental Wellness, I see you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. My hope is to help you feel more understood, more connected to yourself, and more supported in moving toward healing and change.

My Approach

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process painful or overwhelming experiences so they feel less activated in the present. The work is paced carefully and supported with grounding, so therapy feels steady rather than overwhelming.

Parts Work (IFS-informed)

Parts work helps us understand the different parts of you that may hold anxiety, self-criticism, protection, fear, or pain. My role is to help you meet those parts with curiosity and compassion so you can feel less conflicted and more connected within yourself.

ACT

ACT helps us build a different relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings. Rather than getting stuck in a struggle with what is happening inside, we work on creating more flexibility and helping you move toward what matters most.

DBT

I use DBT-informed tools to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and communication. These skills can be especially helpful when emotions feel intense, relationships feel strained, or daily stress feels hard to manage.

Flash Technique

The Flash Technique can be a gentle way to reduce the emotional intensity of distressing memories without requiring you to fully revisit them before you are ready. For some clients, it can be a helpful starting point in trauma work.
